🎸 Some collaborations make sense. Peanut butter and jelly. Rock and roll and Marshall stacks.
And then there’s this one: Gibson guitars taking over The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale.
Yeah. That Ritz. The one with oceanfront balconies, spa robes that cost more than your pedalboard, and staff that somehow knows your name before you do.
From April 10 through May 10, timed alongside Tortuga Music Festival, the beachfront resort is rolling out the Gibson Guitar Experience — a monthlong immersion where luxury hospitality meets 130+ years of guitar history. And for once, this isn’t just a corporate logo slapped on a cocktail napkin.
This is legit.
When Gibson Shows Up, Guitarists Pay Attention
Let’s not pretend this is just another brand collab. Gibson is the company behind the guitars slung low by legends.
We’re talking Jimmy Page, Slash, Angus Young, Joe Perry, Gary Clark Jr., Kirk Hammett, and about half the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. If you’ve ever air-guitared in your living room, chances are it was shaped like a Les Paul or an SG.
Now imagine walking into a Club Lounge where actual Gibson guitars are sitting there waiting for you to play them. Not behind glass. Not in a museum. In a five-star resort overlooking the Atlantic.
That’s what’s happening.
Guests booking Club Lounge access get Gibson keepsakes (yes, guitar picks), handcrafted dark chocolate guitars (we respect the commitment), and access to curated live performances. Add in Nashville-inspired bites like warm biscuits and jam, smoke-infused cocktails, and dishes like Goldtop Hot Gulf Shrimp — and suddenly your beach vacation sounds suspiciously like a backstage hang.
Smoke, Strings & Whiskey (Because Obviously)
Evenings at Burlock Coast bring the appropriately titled Smoke & Strings dinner — a four-course tasting menu with cocktail pairings. Think Southern Biscuits, Country-Fried Fish, Whiskey-Bathed Cowboy Steak and a Smoked S’mores Tart, paired with Rum Tide Punch or a Tennessee Whiskey Old Fashioned.
If you’re going to celebrate Gibson’s Nashville roots, you might as well do it properly.
Meanwhile, The Ritz-Carlton Spa leans into the sonic theme with an 80-minute Harmonic Heat Therapy ritual combining infrared heat, sound immersion and massage. Because apparently even guitar heroes need to decompress.
Out at Sea La Vie Sundeck, select Saturdays feature live music and Gibson-inspired cocktails. Translation: poolside vibes with better tone than your last open mic.
Giving Back With Gibson Gives
This isn’t just about luxury and six strings. The collaboration also supports Gibson Gives, the philanthropic arm of Gibson that backs musicians and music education worldwide.
A custom-wrapped, one-of-a-kind guitar featuring artwork by digital artist Kenneth Kudulis will be auctioned throughout the month, with proceeds benefiting the foundation. That’s the kind of encore we can get behind.
Why This Actually Matters
Abbey Road hosting raves. Hotels becoming jam rooms. The line between lifestyle and live music keeps getting blurrier — and honestly? We’re here for it.
The Ritz-Carlton brand has long been one of the most prestigious names in hospitality worldwide. Pairing that legacy with Gibson’s cultural weight creates something that feels bigger than a promo event. It’s a reminder that music doesn’t just live on stages — it lives in experiences.
And if more luxury spaces start honoring actual musicians instead of just piping in background jazz, that’s a win for all of us.
Bringing It Back Home
While this is happening in Fort Lauderdale, don’t forget: if you’re looking for live music closer to home, the Static Live Music Calendar App has you covered across Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, Flagler Beach, Ormond Beach and beyond. We’re growing city by city — because live music deserves a spotlight everywhere, not just inside five-star resorts.
Download the Static Live app and find your next show. Whether it’s a beach bar gig or the next Slash-in-training, we’ll point you there.
Now excuse us while we go practice our pentatonics.
