“Going back to where it all began,” she wrote in the announcement. Translation: buckle up, nostalgia is about to cash in.
The special will be filmed in front of a live studio audience and promises an inside look at how a teenage sitcom character turned into a cultural earthquake. It’ll dive into the creation of Hannah, the double-life concept, and the impact the show had on an entire generation of kids who are now old enough to complain about lower back pain.
