Ozzy Osbourne wasn’t evil.
He just happened to become the world’s greatest professional at convincing everyone he was.
The bats.

The Prince of Darkness nickname.
The wild stage shows.
The stories that grew larger every decade.
That was the performance.
Behind all of it was a genuinely funny, humble, self-deprecating guy who somehow became one of the most beloved figures in rock history. If you ever watched The Osbournes, you quickly realized the terrifying satanic overlord the tabloids spent decades warning us about was actually a dad trying to figure out the television remote while Sharon attempted to keep the household from descending into complete chaos. It wasn’t scripted perfection. It was wonderfully human, and it introduced an entirely new generation to a man who had already changed music forever.
Now, one year after Ozzy’s passing, Universal Studios is giving fans a tribute that feels perfectly fitting.
This year’s Halloween Horror Nights will feature “Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness,” an all-new haunted house that takes guests on a terrifying journey through the music, imagery, and imagination that defined his solo career. Built as an original experience rather than a traditional biography, the attraction invites visitors aboard the legendary Crazy Train, weaving through environments inspired by iconic albums including Blizzard of Ozz, Diary of a Madman, Bark at the Moon, The Ultimate Sin, Black Rain, No More Tears, Scream, and Ordinary Man.

If anyone has earned their own haunted house, it’s Ozzy.
His album covers practically looked like Halloween Horror Nights concept art decades before the event even existed.
Universal’s creative teams in Orlando and Hollywood have worked closely with Sharon and Jack Osbourne to ensure the experience captures not only Ozzy’s unmistakable imagery but also the creativity and humor that made him such a beloved performer. According to the Osbourne family, Ozzy always loved finding new ways for fans to experience his music, and this attraction feels like exactly the kind of wonderfully over-the-top idea he would have appreciated.
Looking back at his career, it’s hard to overstate just how much Ozzy accomplished. As the frontman of Black Sabbath, he helped invent heavy metal itself before launching one of the most successful solo careers in rock history. Songs like “Crazy Train,” “Mama, I’m Coming Home,” “Bark at the Moon,” “Mr. Crowley,” and “No More Tears” remain staples of rock radio more than four decades later. He earned multiple Grammy Awards, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award as a member of Black Sabbath, induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with Black Sabbath, and countless platinum albums that inspired generations of musicians ranging from Metallica to Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold, Ghost, and beyond. It falls on my 53rd birthday.
I’d call that pretty good timing.
My wife and I are planning to turn it into an entire weekend, and if you’ve never experienced the R.I.P. Tour, let me tell you… it’s worth every second. Small groups are escorted through all ten haunted houses with virtually no waiting in line, giving you the chance to soak in every incredible detail the Universal creative team spends months building. It’s one of those experiences that reminds you why Halloween Horror Nights has become the gold standard for haunted attractions anywhere in the world.
And yes…
You already know which house I’m sprinting toward first.
Stranger Things.
No hesitation.
No debate.
